With the world’s economies run by monopoly printing presses, there is a serious disconnect with reality. Someone very important needs $30 billion to stay afloat? Will it to happen, and it is done. A bunch of very important entities need 20 times that figure, or even more? All it takes is more will. No one has to dig it out of the ground.

Money, which once had real value whose supply could not be changed on command, can be created in any amount by state appointees. This is inflation. It has ruined other countries. It is a juggernaut of destruction. It is what the administration is counting on to save us. Full Article

The following resolution will come before the Republican National Committee at its January meeting:

"WHEREAS, the Bank Bailout Bill effectively nationalized the Nation's banking system, giving the United States non-voting warrants from participating financial institutions, and moving our free market based economy another dangerous step closer toward socialism; and WHEREAS, what was needed, and is still needed, to fix the banking industry is not a bailout, but rather a commitment to fiscal responsibility."

I'm sure most of you know about the petitioning effort to support Dr. Paul's bill to end the Federal Reserve System - see http://www.endthefed.us/repeal.php .

The goal is to get 1 million signatures by Feb. 23rd. When the new 111th Congress convenes, Dr. Paul will re-introduce his legislation (H.R. 2755 in the current session) to end the Fed. The bill will be referred to the House Committee on Financial Services. The petition will be presented there, I believe, coincident with a phone call, fax and email campaign.

I've got a question to pose to you experts :-), about a possible proposal I've been rolling around my brain for a while.

It is time to hold the politicians accountable!

As you well know, the unconstitutional "bailout" of failed lenders that became law earlier this month has, as Dr. Paul predicted, thrown the economy into even more turmoil.

Please help craft our list of the top documentary films, television, lectures, etc that you believe tell a story that must be heard by more American citizens.

Please omit youtube or google videos produced by anonymous people in their garage. Make sure it's an actual film with actual directors, writers, and credits for example which suggest some minimum level of credentials.

Bob Murphy has a great write-up over at the Campaign for Liberty about Misunderstanding the Causes of the Great Depression. Was the Great Depression caused by the stock market crash of 1929? Did capitalism fail?

There's a phenomenal interview from the Democracy NOW! broadcast from October 7, 2008. Amy Goodman interviews Col. Michael Boatner, Future Operations division chief of USNORTHCOM, and Matthew Rothschild, editor of The Progressive magazine regarding the shocking news that the US Army 3rd Infantry Division’s 1st Brigade Team has been assigned an active duty role in, as the Army Times put it, “civil unrest and crowd control.”

The late paleocon columnist Sam Francis used to refer to the Republican and Democratic Parties, respectively, as the Stupid Party and the Evil Party. Every now and then (all too often, actually) they'd take a notion to demonstrate their bipartisanship, and they'd do something that was stupid and evil. And indeed, just as there is a fine line between genius and insanity, so, I would contend, there is a fine line between stupidity and evil.
